WHEN MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN ENGINE HAS DIED OUT TWICE AND HAD TO RESTART VEHICLE. * SCANNED VEHICLE FOR DTCS AND NONE PRESENT MONITORED ECM DATA WHILE DRIVING AND ALL PARAMETERS WITHIN SPECEFICATION ROAD TEST VEHICLE MULTPLE DRIVE CYCLES AND UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CUSTOMER CONCERN AT THIS TIME.
C/S the vehicle stalled out after coming to a stop, states it would not start back up, once vehicle finally started the check engine light was on for a while (see history) * inspected fuel pump pressure within toyota standards road tested 15 miles vehicle is operating within toyota specifications without faults or defects at this time.

THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHEN DRIVING, CUSTOMER WAS GOING ROUGHLY 80MPH, ONCE THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN THE CAR WOULDNT RESTART, BEFORE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE * RESTARTED VEHICLE AND FOUND VEHICLE BLOWING EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF SMOKE AND FOUND ABNORMAL ENGINE NOISE. PERFORMED COMPRESSION AND LEAK DOWN TESTING AND FOUND CYLINDERS 1 - 40%, CYLINDER 2 - 50%, CYLINDER 3 - 40%, CYLINDER 4 - 100%/0PSI. PERFORMED ENGINE TEAR DOWN AND FOUND CYLINDER 4 PISTON, BOTH CYLINDER HEADS, ALL SPARK PLUGS, AND TURBO CHARGER DAMAGED. FOUND BANK 2 CYLINDER HEAD DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR ALSO 7OUND METAL DEBRIS THROUGHOUT OIL AND ENGINE OIL IN INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. REPLACED VEHICLE SHORT BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BANK 2 CYLINDER HEAD AND BANK 2 CYLINDER HEAD VAVLES AND SEALS. BANK 1 CYLINDER HEAD WENT OUT TO MACHINE SHOP FOR REPAIRS. REPLACED ALL SPARK PLUGS DUE TO DAMAGE. PERFORMED VALVE ADJUSTMENT TO BOTH CYLINDER HEADS. ALH REQUIRED FOR ADDITIONAL TIME SPENT TO REPLACE TURBOCHARGER AND CLEAN BO TH INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS DUE TO INTERNAL OIL CONTAMINATION (ALH 1.0HRS) REINSTALLED ENGINE AND PERFORMED CAL ID UPDATE. TEST DROVE VEHICLE TO VERIFY REPAIR. WAS NOT ABLE TO GET VEHICLE TO BOOST OVER 14 PSI. SHOULD BE AT 21-22PSI. AFTER FURTHER DIAGNOSIS WITH FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER, FOUND AN ADDITIONAL PRESSURE HOSE REDUCER INSTALLED IN NOW OEM LOCATION IN HOSES BETWEEN BOOST CONTROLLER AND TURBO. REMOVED REDUCER SO IT NOW THE ONE MATCHES OEM LOCATION. VEHICLE THEN STARTED BOOSTING TO 21 PSI AS IT SHOULD.
THE VEHICLE JUST DIED WHILE DRIVING , AND WAS NOT. * ABLE TO START WITH A JUMP START.

On multiple occasions engine has stalled. has happened with with engine warm, and cold. has happened at idle and also happened while driving. when it stalled while driving, the oil pressure light and charging light came on, RPM'S dropped to zero and vehicle coasted to a stop. sometimes after stalling can restart engine and does not stall again, sometimes has to restart multiple times and continues to stall right away. on one occasion, after stalling, restarted and held RPM'S at 2000 and engine still stalled. * test drove vehicle multiple times over multiple days, never able to duplicate concern. no stored code, no software updates available at this time.
