Transmission&Drive Shaft:Slips
customer concern after vehicle is warmed up. when
in stop and go. will be braking and as you're coming to a stop it will lunge forward. * INSPECTED VEHICLE AND TEST DROVE. COMPARED TO SIMILAR VEHICLE. HO ABNORMALITIES FOUND. REFER TO
BULLETIN #S9-04-20-002K similarly, customers of
vehicles equipped with automatic or manual
transmissions may comment that the vehicle
exhibits a clunk noise while driving when the
accelerator is quickly depressed and then released. Tipping into the throttle after deceleration can also result in some level of clunk as the driveline is loaded in one direction (coast) then with throttle reapply, the driveline gets loaded in the opposite direction (drive). On manual transmission vehicles, depressing the clutch while in deceleration immediately releases load on the driveline and may produce a clunk noise as the driveline unloads. Note: Compare thia complaint vehicle to a like vehicle. If the results are the same. this is a normal condition. For additional diagnostic information, refer to the appropriate Service  Information. #PITS161G: Normal Characteristic ⢠Bump Feel Or Clunk Noise After A Stop The bump clunk issue may be duo to fuel movement in the fuel tank. If the noise is eliminated or reduced when the fuel tank la dither completely tilled or very low on fuel, the noise is isolated to fuel movement in the tank. Please make no repair attempts, as this is considered a normal characteristic. (MT) #20-NA-187: Delayed and/or Harsh Engagenent of Transmission Shift After Vehicle Sitting with engine of contacted tac case# 9-6344371356 Please review SI Document #5607434 if you review Che OSS in GDS session reading 0МРИ this will till occur. 20-NA-102: Lack of Acceleration Followed by a Clunk Feeling After Shifting From Reverse to Drive Thanks. Brie T. If the transmission output speed (OSS) of the transmission does not obtain 0 mph/(kph) before shifting from reveres to drive, the transmission will be commanded to start in 2nd gear. Upon increasing the throttle, the transmission will command a 2-1 downshift, which will be harsh. The OSS may appear to obtain 0 mph/(kph) when reviewing GDS data. However, the filtered signal as determined by the Transmission Control Module (TOO, maybe above the 0 mph/(kph) threshold required by the TCM. The vehicle must come to a complete stop prior to shifting the transmission from reverse to drive. Important: Replacing components on the transmission will not provide a resolution to the customers concern. The information found in this bulletin can be shared with customers that may inquire about this  condition.

EXHAUST FRONT PIPE GASKETS LEAKING
FOUND THAT THE VEHICLE  HAD A NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING VEHICLE HARS. CHECKED  TRANSMISSION FOR CODES AND FOUND NONE. CHECKED THE FLUID  LEVEL AND FOUND IT WAS OK. FOUND NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE EXHAUST FRONT PIPE CASKETS. WHEN THE TURBOCHARGER WOULD SPOOL UP, THE RUSH OF EXHAUST WOULD LEAK THROUGH THE GASKETS AND CAUSE A WHISTLING SOUND THAT COULD BE CONFUSED FOR A TRANSMISSION NOISE. REPLACED GASKETS AND ROAD TESTED. NO MORE NOISE WAS PRESENT AFTER REPAIRS AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING AT THIS TIME. THE  VEHICLE IS OPERATING AS DESIGNED AT THIS TIME.
